CONNECTICUT
Presidential Registration Deadline: received by October 29th, on November 5th

VOTE BY MAIL: Connecticut law allows you to receive an absentee ballot if, in your judgment, an absence from your town on Election Day prevents you from appearing at your polling place, or you are prevented from appearing at your assigned polling place on Election Day because of sickness or physical disability (not necessarily your sickness or disability), active service in the Military, religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election, duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting. To receive your absentee ballot please complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk. Request your absentee ballot here.
RHODE ISLAND
Presidential Registration Deadline: received by October 6th

VOTE BY MAIL: Rhode Islanders can now submit their mail ballot application online! Click here to apply for a mail ballot online (must have a valid RI Driver’s License or State ID and be registered to vote). You will receive your mail ballot packet at the address listed on your application. Allow at least seven (7) mailing days to ensure your mail ballot arrives by 8 p.m. on Election Day. The Board of Elections must receive your mail ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
MASSACHUSETTS
Presidential Registration Deadline: received by October 26th

VOTE BY MAIL: Our office will send a pre-addressed, postage pre-paid Vote by Mail application to every registered voter before each statewide election. This mailing is required by state law. You can use this application to request a ballot for the next statewide election, or for all elections this year. Simply mark your selections, sign the application, and drop it in the mail. We will send Vote by Mail applications to voters in January, July, and September of 2024. We won’t send you an application if you’ve already applied to vote by mail for the upcoming election. If you need another application, you can download a Vote by Mail application here. If you can’t print the application, you can also use any signed request to apply. You can send a signed letter to your local election office to apply for your ballot.
NEW YORK

VOTE BY MAIL: Any voter may apply for vote-by-mail by completing the Application for Vote-By-Mail Ballot and returning the application to their County Clerk. After you complete your Vote-By-Mail Ballot, return your ballot by one of three ways, mail it back, place it in one of your county’s Secure Ballot Drop Box Locations, or return it to your County Board of Elections Office.
PENNSYLVANIA
Presidential Registration Deadline: received by October 21st
State Registration Deadline: received by April 8th, Erie County received by April 9th

VOTE BY MAIL: You have two options for mail ballots. The first being Mail in Ballot which any qualified voter may apply for. The second being an Absentee Ballot which can be used if you plan to be out of the municipality on election day or if you have a disability or illness that prevents you from going to your polling place on election day. To request either ballot type, you must be registered to vote. You can apply for either ballot by clicking here.
MARYLAND
Presidential Registration Deadline: postmarked and online by October 15th, on November 5thD

VOTE BY MAIL: Any registered voter may vote by mail-in ballot. You don't need a reason to vote by mail-in ballot. It's another way to vote if you don't want to or can't go to an early voting center or your polling place. You can request a mail-in ballot online in you have a MD drivers license or MVA-issued ID card, at your local board of election, or via printed form.
VIRGINIA
Presidential Registration Deadline: submitted by November 5th
State Registration Deadline: submitted by May 28th, through June 15th

VOTE BY MAIL: All General Registrar Offices offer early voting. For all early voting and ballot dropbox information, contact the General Registrar’s Office. If you are returning your ballot by mail, it must be postmarked on of before election day and received by your general registrar’s office by noon on the third day following the election (if that day is a holiday, the deadline is moved to the following business day).
